CRICKET IN AUSTRALIA.
QUEENSLAND V. N.S.W. BRISBANE, December 1. Tn the inter-State cricket match, Queensland v. New South Wales, the former in their first innings scored 500 for nine wickets and declared. Oxenham made 94. Thompson 132, and Preston 52 (not out). Everett took four wickets for 142 runs. New South Wales in their second innings have made 10 for one wicket. — (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
CAMBRIDGE V. OXFORD.
LONDON, December 1. Tn the inter-university relay races, Cambridge beat Oxford by four events to nop. Rinkel defeated Porritt, of NewZealand, by Syds in the last lap. Cambridge won in the record time of Sfls. Porritt assisted Oxford to win the hurdles.— ("'Sun.")
