NEW BROTHERS' SCHOOL

A MOVEMENT INITIATED. A largely-attended meeting, representing the city and suburban parishes was held at St. Patrick's Presbytery yesterday, to take steps to pay off the debt on the Marist Brothers' School, Ponsonby, and to establish other Catholic Boys' Schools in the suburbs of Auckland. The Bishop (Dr. Cleary) presided. An executive was appointed, consisting of representatives of the various parishes, together with a chairman (Archdeacon -Holbrook), a vicechairman (Mr- Foy), secretary and treasurer (Dr. Buxton), and an assis-tant-secretary (Mr. T. Scoble Cornish). It was decided to hold a carnival.in the Town Hall at the end of May, 192(>. A trust board is also to be established to control and apply the funds.
