OBITUARY.
OLD COLONIST'S DEATH. MR. GEORGE PULMAN. A resident of New Zealand for (13 years, Mr. Pulman died on Friday. He was born. in Manchester,- England, in 1854, being the eldest son of the late Mr. G. Pulman, formerly a well-known photographer of Shortland Street. The family came to Auckland in the ship Messina, in 1862. Mr. Pulman spent some years at Tauranga farming under the guardianship of the late Colonel Fraser. Later, he went on the land on his own account. For some years, MrPulman was associated with tho late Mr. Henry Reynolds, a pioneer in' the factory butter industry. Mr. Pulman was at one time a member of the vestry at Waiuku and Buckland Churches. He was also a member of the Pukekohe Bowling Club. The Rev. J. Cowie conducted the funeral service ;at the grave. '
