JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STAFF.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. At a meeting of the Whangarei branch of the Teachers' Institute, the method of staffing the Junior High School was emphatically denounced. It was stated that applicants for positions in tha new school were decidedly inferior to those in chareo of tbe senior classos at the local schools. This woxtld mean serious educational loss to the children attending school next year. Suitable primary teachers were not applying for appointments. Tt was resolved thai, full details of the position be sent to the Auckland Educational Institute, who will be. asked to take action. It was stated that the rights of both tbe in the primary sohool and the teachers needed safeguarding! further that the public had become alive to the situation. The ass'stnnee of- the Primary School Committees' Association will be sought.
