MITCHELL TO CONCENTRATE ON IMPROVEMENT.
LONDON, October 25. The "Daily Mail" states that Mr. Samuel Ryder, a St. Albans' golfing enthusiast, has engaged Abe Mitchell, the well known professional, for three rears, at a yearly salary of £500, with £250 expenses as a private professional. This, will enable Mitchell to take part in tournaments and prepare for championships. He aims at placing the British professional on an equality with W. C. Hagen, Jim Barnes and other Americans by concentrating on the improvement of his game.
