MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.
THE SOCIALIST SEATS. LONDON, November 3. The Socialist candidates pained many of the seats in the English municipal 'election's, but their mass attack on London failed. The Socialists lost 316 seats i in London in 1922, and of these they j retrieved about one-quarter. Moderate reformers are still in a considerable majority on most of the councils.—(A. and N.Z.
