COLOURED REPORTS
'.To the Editor.) i Sir. —Your subleader under the above beading was very timely and to the I point. Anyone who has been attending I the various meetings knows that the ! various candidates get a fair hearing as long as they employ nothing worse I than legitimate criticism and argument. It is only when they descend to deliberate misrepresentation and perversion of the truth that protests arise from tiie ! audiences. The Reform Press during this ! election has blamed Labour supporters for all the interjections and interruptions that ha\e taken place, carefully concealing the fact that the candidates were primarily responsible by wilful or ignorant misrepresentation of the views put forward by their opponents. This sort of journalism is what one might expect of the yellow Press, but not what one lias ; a right to expect from papers that cham- | pion King and Empire. —1 am, etc.. FAIR PLAY.
