THE WAITOMO CAMPAIGN.
OVER TWO THOUSAND (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TE KUITI, this day. Mr. Broadfoot, candidate for Waitomo, continues to receive representative and' enthusiastic audiences, as evinced by attendances of settlers at Kaitangaweka and Kopaki, where votes of confidence were recorded. Once I'gain, in the milling area, the candidate addressed splendid meetings at Mangapehi, Pukemako, Matai, and Tapuwae, the support at each place being unanimous. On completion of his Mangapehi address, the candidate mentioned that, on nearing completion of a 2000 miles campaign, he would have the satisfaction of knowing that he had got round off his own bat, having never sent out the S.O.S. for his leader or lieutenants to come and be chaired through the electorate on his behalf. (Cheers).
