MR. HORNBLOW AT HIKURANGI.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HIKURANGI, this day. At Hikurangi on Saturday night Mr. Hornblow, Liberal candidate for Bay of Islands, addressed a full audience in the Criterion Theatre. It was expected that in view of tdiis being a large mining centre the meeting would be a noisj' one, but the candidate maintained thebacking of the greater portion of a large audience, interruptions being very mild. Jlr. Hornblow's exposition of Liberal principles was loudly applauded. After a number of questions had been answered the meeting closed with cheers for Jlr. Hornblow. No doubt the Labour vote here is divided between Jlr. Horn, blow and the Labour candidate.
