SUICIDE OF MAX LINDER.
HIS WIFE DIES TOO. END OF BRIGHT LIVES. (Received 10.30 a.m.) PARIS, November 1. Max Linder, the French film actor, and his wife were discovered in bed in a hotel at Baltimore in a pool of blood. Botli had severed arteries in their right wrists. A razor was alongside the wife, who was dead. Alax Linder, who it is believed was suffering from tuberculosis, left a letter indicating that they had agreed on suicide- He succumbed later.—A. and N.Z. Max Linder was the amazing, agile, gymnastic comedian of the film, familiar all over the world. He expressed in a very special sense the vivrc of the French, and was not only active gymnastically, but mentally. It is possible he never did anything better than D'Artagnan in a film farce "Les Trois Mousquetaires," founded on the great French classic. He had been an officer in the French army, and was dangerously wounded in the war. His Wounds possibly induced T.B.
