BOXER'S DISAPPEARANCE.
» FEJ.L FROM MANAIA. An inquest into the- circumstances surrounding the disappearance, in June last, of Laurie Cadman, the Auckland boxer, was held yesterday, before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M. The evidence recalled the fact that Cadman was missed from the steamer Manaia between Tauranga and Auckland. He was last seen on deck just before midnight. Near the morning steward found that Cadman had disappeared. His berth had not been "slept in. Evidence was given by Captain W. F. Norbury, Edward Rutter, a steward, two passengers, and Arthur Cadman, brother of the missing man. The coroner found that deceased fell overboard from the vessel on the evening of June 11, or the morning of June 12. There was no evidence to show whether the action was intentional or accidental. i
