The Federal Government has presented before the Grand Jury an indictment on 10 counts embodying 803 criminal charges, against 4:1 fruit firms and 11 individuals in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

The indictment alleges market juggling and price manipulation; restraint of trade and general conniving to cheat the grower and the consumer.

It is expected that several days will elapse before a true bill is returned. The trial is likely to last for months.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
