We regret that owing to an error made by one of our reporting staff, we published an Page 1538, of the issue of "The Mercantile Gazette of New Zealand," of the 2nd September, a statement that Smith, Dunne .and Co., Ltd., of Aucklnnd, had given a Debenture Charge over their assets for it 4000. This statement wns quite incorrect, and should have been to the effect that ft release of a Debenture Charge for €4000 over the assets of Smith, Dunne and Co Ltd., had been registered.
