SUPPOSED DROWNING.
FARMER REPORTED MISSING. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TE AWAMTTU, Wednesday. A farmer, John Mercer Bruce, aged ; 60, is presumed to have been drowned lin the Puniu River. He was missed I during the morning and subsequently ' tracks were located leading to the river ■ where his hat was found on the edge of : a deep hole. I Dragging operations have been con- ! ducted, but so far without result.
