William Jackson Vercoe Oliver 27 , 'who pleaded guilty to a charge of having committed a grossly indecent art. v.-.- ---! fined £3, in default, seven days' imprisonment. A STOWAWAY DISCHARGED To a charge of having stowed away ■ r. tbe s.s. Kaitangata at Melbourne, on September 22. James Cameron pieadeu guilty. The captain of the vessel stated that ( ameron was discovered five hours after the Kaitangata left Melbourne. He nad behaved well on the voyage to Auckian i. Accused said that he was a Nou- Zealander. and had gone to Melbourne 13 months ago. His mother resided at Taieri Plains, in the South Island. Senior Sergeant Edwards said that nothing was previously known a'-.out Cameron. Accused was then coin .c-t.-d and discharged.
