The Auckland Electric Power Board hereby yives notice, in pursuance of Section 0 of the above-mentioned Act:— . , 1. That the several purposes for which I tbe loan 13 required are as follows:— j (a) Machinery. Equipment and Work i necessary to convert the system from steam to hydro-electric power, i (<bi The general extension of the reticu- ] latlon system in the Auckland j Electric Power District, including ' any necessary additions to Sub- j stations, Machinery and Mains. | 2. That the Auckland Electric Power ! Board, being unable to provide the | necessary funds for such purposes out j of its ordinary revenue, proposes to ! borrow sums as follows:— ! (a) For Water Power Conversion, I £230,000. j (b) l"or General Extension Purposes. | £400,000. J 3. That tbe proposed security for the repayment of such loan shall be a special rate of two-sevenths of a ] penny in the pound on all ratable property in the Auckland Electric I Power District. I 4. That the Auckland Elpetric Power . Board proposes to make such loan repayable in twenty-one (211 years, and proposes to make provision for the payment of a Sinking Fund of not ; less than Two Pounds Ten Shillings (£2 10/) per 'centum per annum. i 0.
