OBITUARY

I MR. P. F. LECA. ' At the age of 82 years Mr. Paul Felix Leca died suddenly at his home, Poroti. lon Sunday morning. He was a native of Corsica, having lieen born at Bonifacia on October 13. 1843. He arrived in New | Zealand in 1873, and has resided ever .in-ce »t Poroti, where he carried on a general store, and also kauri gum buying, as well as running a farm. The cause of death was heart failure. The interment at Matinu Cemetery, was attended by a large number of friends. MR. THOS. STEEL. ' Information has been received of the death at Kilara. New South Wales, of Mr. Thomas Steel, F.L.S., who was at •one time resident in Auckland, he having been connected with the operations o. the Colonial Sugar Refining Company. | MR. THOMAS HUTCHISON. j ' The sudden death from heart failure is announced from Sydney of Mr. Thomas Hutchison, formerly of Auckland, and for many years associated with the firm of J. J. Craig, Ltd. The late Mr. Hutchison went to Sydney about fifteen years ago and entered the flour milling industry, in which he became a prominent figure. At the time of his death he was a director of a number of commercial companies in Sydney. He leaves a wife and son, and his sister.
