Cargo operations on the Union Co.'s steamer Kauri were not completed last evening as expected, and the departure of the jessel for Newcastle was postponed until 3 o clock this afternoon. CARGO FROM AUSTRALIA, Loaded with Australian produce, the Union Company's steamer Kaitangata was expected to leave Melbourne to-day for Auckland direct. She is due to arrive at this port about Thursday of next week. WAIWERA AT LONDON. Cabled advice has confirmed the arrival nt London on Sunday of the Shaw, Savill and Albion Line steamer Waiwera with cargo from New Zealand ports. The Waiwera loaded part cargo at Auckland and sailed finally from Gisborne on August S. HINEAIOA'S VOYAGE. Generally flue weather was experienced during the early part of her voyage from Nine Island by the Government steamer Hinemoa. which arrived at Auckland yesterday afternoon. The vessel made a trip to Fiji with the New Zealand leper patients, nnd then proceeded to Nine Islnnd to load her present cargo of copra, fruit and produce. She left Niue for Auckland on the evening of September 13, and was delayed in her arrival at this port by boisterous conditions, which were experienced towards the end of the trip. The Hinemoa is at tha Prince's wharf and Is expected to sail at 3 p.m. to-morrow for Niue Island. BARQUE ELFRIEDA ARRIVED. Flying the German flag, the barque Elfrieda arrived at Auckland late yesterday afternoon from Surprise Island. The barque Is the first German vessel to visit Auckland for eleven years. The Elfrieda cleared Hamburg in January of the present year, nnd proceeded to Norway to load a full cargo of timber for discharge at Melbourne. She sailed for the Australian port on February 17, and encountered a hurricane in the UugHsh Channel, being hove-to for .five days. After seventy-nine days' sailing the barque rounded the Cape of Good Hope, and experienced boisterous conditions for the remainder of the voyage. When crossing the Indian Ocean the Elfrieda frequently scudded before a fierce westerly gale under lower topsails. From May 18 to May 24 she was buffeted ' by mountainous seas, which continually flooded tho decks. A large wooden pig pen was washed overboard during the heavy weather, but no serious damage was done. The Elfrieda arrived at Melbourne on June !>, and after discharge loaded general cargo for Noumea. An uneventful voyage was- experienced to JNoiuuc .1, where the sailor remained for eight days before proceeding to Surprise Island to load her present cargo of gunno. The Northern Co. advise that owing to delay by the storm, their steamer Rimu will not leave Onehunga lor Hokianga until Thursday. For Auckland via Wellington, tho Union Company's steamer Waikawa is to leave to-morrow. This vessel loaded her present cargo at Eastern and Australian ports. The Northern Company advise that the Motu and Otimai are due to arrive from their respective ports to-morrow morning. They will both sail again the same day. The Northern Company's auxiliary vessel Pono will in future run a monthly service to Whangapoua, Port Charles, and Kennedy Bay. She will leave Auckland on her first trip in this service at 3 p.m. on Monday next. Conditions on the Manukau Bar were again normal to-day and the Northern Co.'s steamers Rarawa, Rimu and Arapawa experienced no difficulty in crossing outwards during the morning. The bar was unworkable from Saturday afternoon until this morning. THE SALLY MAERSK. In continuation of her voyage from Sydney (C.8.) and Montreal, the Danish motor ship Sally Maersk is expected to leave Auckland this afternoon for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Sydney and Melbourne. FEDERAL STEAMER DEVON. Now unloading Home cargo at the Central wharf, the Federal Line steamer Devon is expected to complete the local portion of her discharge ou Thursday. Her other discharging ports are Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. KOSMO'S SAILING DATE. At present berthed at the Prince's wharf, tbe Ellerman-Hall Line steamer Kosmo is not now expected to leave Auckland for Wellington until to-morrow afternoon or Thursday morning. This vessel will complete her discharge in New Zealand, nnd will then proceed to Newcastle) RUAHINE'S LOADING. Advice received from the New Zealand Shipping Company this morning states thac the liner Ruahine will complete discharge of her Home cargo at the Queen's wharf this afternoon. This vessel will commence loading at this port and will then proceed to Southern ports to lill up. Her schedule has not yet been announced. PAKURA IX PORT. An arrival at Auckland this morning was the Richardson steamer Paktira from East Coast ports. She is now loading cargo at the Prince's wharf for discharge at Gisborne, Tokomaru Bay, Tolaga Bay and Napier, and is advertised by Messrs. V. atkin and Wallace to sail for those ports at 6 p.m. to-day. WAIHEMO FOR VANCOUVER. Having completed her cleaning and painting, the Union Company's steanfer Walhemo was expected to undoek this afternoon and berth mt the King's wharf. She is announced by the company to leave Auckland for Vancouver direct at 10 p.m. to-day. MOERAKI ARRIVES TO-DAY. An expected arrival at Auckland to-day is the Union Co.'s inter-colonial steamer Moeraki with passengers and cargo from Sydney. A radio received from the vessel i last evening staled that she expected to j reach port at ..'JO p.m. to-day. On arrival the Moeraki will anchor for inspection and will later berth at tbe Queen's wharf. She is to sail on her return trip on Friday. WEST XILUS DELAYED. ■Stormy weather has delayed the arrival at Auckland of the Swayne and Ho. t Line's steamer West Nilus, from Pacific Coast ports, and she is not now expected to reach this port until to-morrow morning. She was previously expected to arrive this afternoon. The West Nilus, which comes to the agency of Messrs Henderson and Macfarlane, will unload the local portion of her cargo at tho Prince's wharf and will then proceed to .southern and Australian ports to put out the balance. UNION COMPANY'S STEAMERS. Movements of vessels under the flag of the Union Co. are announced as follow :— Kaimanawa is announced to leave Auckland for Westport to-morrow. Ngakuta left Auckland last evening for Portland. To-dny she was loading cement. She is expected to leave Portland for Wellington to-morrow. Wainui is timed to sail at 5 p.m. to-day for East Coast ports. She is at the Queen's wharf. Wingatui arrived at Auckland this afternoon from Wellington and berthed at the Prince's wharf. After discharge she is to proceed to Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Timaru. Kurow was expected to leave Plcton for Wellington and Auckland at midday to-day.
