ONEHUNGA MOTOR FATALITY.

INQUIRY BY CORONER.

VERDICT AGAINST DRIVER.

The inquest on the death of Mrs. Mary McKenzie, who was killed in a tram shed at Onehunga on August 13, was concluded yesterday afternoon at Onehunga. Dr. E. McDonald, who w-as the only witness called, said the deceased was admitted to the hospital suffering from a fracture of the ieft leg. At the operation it was found that she had a fracture of the thigh bone, and practically all the structures of the leg were severed at the level of the fracture. Mrs. McKenzie died about three-quarters of an hour afterwards.

James Bridge, who drove the motor lorry which collided with the waiting shed, was th«n committed for trial on a charge of recklessly and negligently driving a motor vehicle and thereby causing the death of Mrs. Mary McKenzie.
