MORRINSVILLE STOCK SALE.
PIGS SELL WELL. HIGHEST FOR SOME TIME. (From Our Own Correspondent.) MORRINSVILLE, Monday. At the Farmers' Auctioneering Co\'s Morrinsville stock sale the prices for baconers reached a level not attained in this district ror several vcars. Heavy baconers sold from _:. 1/ to £5 0/: medium baconers, rrom £4 4/ to £4 12/- lighter sorts, from £3 to £3 18/. Although a slight decline was noticed for beef the prices still remained high, the valuegoing up to £2 2/ per 1001b; in fact no steer beef went below £2 per 100, several pens selling from £18 to £19. Young stock also sold "well, yearling heifers going up to £5 15/, this price being given for a good sort or grade Jersey. Dairy cattle were seUing slightly better. Among the sheep, fat wethers sold well at 46/3
