SCHOONER'S RECORD TRIP.
» . (By Telegraph.—(Press Association.) GISBORNE, this day. The schooner Maroro made a record trip from Newcastle, having arrived fourteen days three hours after taking her departure from Australia. The schooner encountered favourable winds throughout the voyage and maintained an average speed of 150 knots a day. The run down coast from East Cape to Poverty Bay occupied a* little over sixteen hours.
