Tilden, Borotra, Johnston, Williams, Alonzo, and Lacoste won straight sets. Harada beat Kinsey three sets to one. Lacoste and Alonzo easily took their first matches. Lacoste has received a cablegram ordering him to sail for France on Wednesday for compulsory military training.
