HOUSES RANSACKED.

CLOTHING AND JEWELLERY STOLEN. TWO MEN ARRESTED. Between Friday night and Sunday burglars were busy in the suburbs, several houses being broken into ami ransacked near the Mount Albert, Dominion Road and Mount Eden termini. In most of the dwellinghouses visited the thieves, after ransacking the rooms, got away with booty comprising suits of clothes, jewellery, fur coats, and money boxes. The total value of the stolen property is in the vicinity of £50. On Sunday evening Detective Barling and Acting Detective Craigie arrested a young man in connection with the burglaries, while yesterday Detective Barling effected the arrest of another man.
