The rrockinir or the ballet has been carried out tasterully, -with an eye ror effect, and the result is one of the most charming features of the revue. Among the best of the ballet numbers, "That Red Head Gal" led by Mr. Yorke Gray, was warmly received while Mr. Vernon Sellars was most successful In his rendering of the old but ever popular "Sally Homer." The second episode in the revue takes the form of a series of scenes depicting London "oo years ago, with a passing pageant of old time costumes. Exquisite effects are obtained by means of special lighting effects Bradley's Monkey Hippodrome, replete !With monkey band and acrobats, is the principal features on the supporting bill and this act was greeted at both performj ances yesterday with much laughter Mr Arthur Aidridge, tenor, was heard to advantage In a number or songs, old and new, being- accorded several recalls. Revealations of a startling and sometimes intimate nature were made By Madame Lampini, presented by M. Lampinl. Gazing into a small crystal, she answered difficult questions which had been placed !In a box at the theatre entrance, and her , novel performance occasioned much mirth ; and mystincation. Mr. Nick Morton,, billed as a talkative songster, proved to be a capable artist, who regaled the audience with bright jokes, only one or which could he termed a "chestnut," while his songs [were original. Madame Stephano, contralto, and Rosina Paimerston, soprano and pianist, appeared in a number or 'vocal I Items, their duets Being much aDprecfated, While the solo numbers or Madame Stephano made «her an immediate favourite.

The revue and supporting programme will be presented each night and at the usual matinees throughout the week. "THE EUGENIANS." A very successful musical comedy, The Eugenrans," or " The Nut and the Nymph," in three acts, was produced at Ellerslie on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday last by the Eilersljc Musical and Dramatic Society. in conjunction with the Men's Rally. The promoter, Mr A. G. Parsons, deserves great credit and praise for the excellence or the production. Mr. S. M. Knight, as the peppery old Admiral Biowhavd, with his sailor servant, Jeremiah Topsail (Mr. F. O'Gorman) caused great laughter by their vivid impersonations or the old time Admiral and his confidential servant. Mr. A. G. Parsons as Jack, "the nut," gave a particularly clever representation of a very difficult role. Mrs. Cowan, very stately as the Mattronne of Eugenia, scored great success by her singing, especially ip "The Pipes or Pan." Diana, "the nymph" (Miss Tui Molesworth) did particularly well, and pleased the audienre with her singing and natural acting. Miss Kathleen Wrigg, as Helen, Diana's rriend. was very charming, and her song and dance, " I Like Kissing," was greatly appreciated. Miss Mona Wrigg, as the dancing dryad, gave a delig-httully dainty dance. Strephon (Mr. A. Pond) gave a splendid rendering or the. disappointed ipver, and the singing or Lictus (Mr. A. pale) and Petronius (Mr. T. Stone) was , o » ucUy . a PPlauded. The master physician (Air. Atkinson) created a good deal or merriment. AMATEUR MUSICAL CLUB. Beautiful scenery, wonderful ballet numbers and an exceptionally realistic atmosphere will characterise the production.
