W in —— OLD COLONIST'S DEATH. MRS. JOHN SNAITH. A very old resident of Auckland, Mrs. John Snaith, wife of Mr. John Snaith, died at her residence, Patey Street, Remuera, aged SO years. Mrs. Snaith was born at Minerva Place, Glasgow, and arrived in Auckland with °her parents in the ship Phoenix in 1800. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and . Mrs. Duncan Mackenzie. Mr. and Mrs. j Snaith celebrated their diamond wedding j anniversary on November 24, 1924. Her | husband survives her. Mrs. Snaith made ( many friends owing to her kindly dis- ■ position. She ever took the keenest | interest in the progress of the city in l which she spent so much of her life. j DR. BUCKBY.
