TOSSED BY A BULL.
■ a MORRINSVILLE FARMER ATTACKED. A DOG TO THE RESCUE. CBy Telegraph.—Ovrn Correspondent.) MORRINSVILLE, Thursday. Mr.. J. Goodwin, of Morrinsville, was attending his bull in the paddock when the animal tossed him over its head, injuries received being two broken ribs and severe shock. The farmer had the presence of mind to call the assistance of his dog, which kept the bull at bay until the injured man reached a stream about two chains away. Mr. Goodwin considers that the dog saved his life, for, when the animal was able to elude the dog, it followed him to the bank of the stream, which Mr. Goodwin reached in time. Slowly pnd painfully Mr. Goodwin made his way to the house, where assistance was obtained. The bull is said to be a two-year-old Jersey, which was considered a quiet animal.
