LEAGUE FOOTBALL
THE NEW ZEALAND TEAM. PLAY AUCKLAND TO-MORROW. The New Zealand representative League team of footballers who returned on Tuesday from a tour of New South ; Wales and Queensland will be the attrac- j tion to-morrow at Carlaw Park, when they meet the Auckland representatives. The record of the Dominion men in Australia was a much better one than ' the five wins out of the thirteen games ] played would show, because it is the , emphatic opinion of the managers and ' players that they received very harsh j treatment from the referees in more than one game. I During the past fortnight the New I Zealand team has been coached by Mr. I E. 11. Mair, of Queensland, and if the team can produce to-morrow only a few ! of the movements which has been part of their instruction, the spectators will see a totally different set of manoeuvres to those they have been accustomed. The Auckland side is a good one, and can be depended upon to make every effort to add another loss to the record of the Blacks. The teams are: — NEW ZEALAND. Full-back: Gregory. Three-quarters: Delgrosso, KArwan, Pnrkes. Five-eighths: Wetherill, Saunders. Half-back: Wilson-Hall. Forwards: O'Brien, Green, Herring, Dixon, Thomas, Avery. AUCKLAND. Full-back: Hercwtni.
