A FATAL QUARREL.
MAN STABBED TO DEATH. A BROTHER ARRESTED. (Receiver] 12.n0 p.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. In a quarrel which is alleged to have occurred in a week-end house at Menvac s Creek between two brothers, one of them, Charles Alexander Clarke, was stabbed in the throat and bled to death. The other, William Vincent Clarke, has been arrested on a charge of murder. (A. and X.Z. Cable.) ANOTHER FATAL QUARREL. SHOOTING AT KERAKG. VICTIMS MATE CHARGED. iHeceivpci 12.:;O p.m.i MELBOURNE, this day. As the result of a •shooting case at Kerang. William Farrell was arrested on a charge of murdering William Patrick Sperling. Sperling, in his dying depositions, stated that he and Farrell were in a house at fJarvoc. He was standing beside a door when he heard someone say. "Get a gun." On hearing that he made off and was fired at. After he was shot lie called out. but nobody came to him. He and Farrell had always boon friendly. They had had a iiplit two or three years ago, but only drunken squabbtes in Melbourne—(A*, and X.Z.)
