WHAKATAXK. this day. \ Much heavy rain has fallen locally during the last few days, with the result : that thp rivers are (swollen, and low-lying portions of the surrounding lands are under water, though not to anything j like the extent to which they were inundated during the recent floods, i Traffic to Opotiki is blocked by slips in Waimana <iorge and flood water at Keegan's crossing, on the Taneatna Road. The rivers are now going down rapidly. '
