OFFICIAL CALLS.

MINISTERIAL AND NAVAL. HON. BOLLARD SAYS FAREWELL. SALUTE OF NINETEEN GUNS. The Minister of Internal Affairs (Hon. R. F. Bollard) made an official farewell call on board the flagship, U.S.s. California, at 10 a.m. to-day. The Minister, accompanied by his party, was received on the quarter deck by Admiral S. S. Robison, commander-in-chief of the battle fleet, and staff. A platoon of the United States Marine Corps presented arms as the Minister and party stepped aboard, while the band of the flagship played. The Hon. Mr. Bollard said farewell on behalf of the New Zealand Government. The admiral and staff entertained the party aboard the flagship till 11 a.m., when the Minister left. On his departure he was accorded a salute of nineteen guns, the marines standing at the present and the band playing. Commander Miles, R.N., of H.M.s. Philomel, senior British naval officer at Auckland, also paid his respects during the morning and was formally received. Admiral Robison repaid the calls later in the forenoon. On behalf of his officers and men, Admiral Robison expressed appreciation of all that Auckland had done in entertaining the fleet, when he called on the Deputy-Mayor, Mr. J. A. Warnock. this morning. The call was of .in official farewell nature. The superintendent, Mr. H. B. Burnett, received the Admiral when he called afc the offices of the Auckland Harbour Board this afternoon. The Admiral also visited the American Consulate.
