A launch from the Pennsylvania was driven ashore in Wellington last night and completely wrecked. New Zealand team of League footballers conclude their Australian tour to-day with a match against New South Wales. The unemployed on the waiting list of the Labour Department to-day numbered. 181. Since Monday work was found for 40 men. Every afternoon next week fifty sailors will be taken for a motor run by members of the Auckland Automobile Association. A landslide in Northlands Suburb, Wellington, carried away the greater part of a road, and damaged a fine patch of native bush. The Alaheno could not get away from | Sydney for Auckland yesterday owing to a shortage in the crew, but it is exj pected to leave to-day.
