QUEEN AND WORKMAN.
■ A pretty Incident matted the latest visit <rf the Queen of the Belgians to the Exhibition of Decorative Arts. As the Queen was entering the Belgian pavilion, two ITrench workmen, one holding a large bouquet of roses, stepped forward and one asked her attendants If he might say a word to her. The officials hesitated, for it had been arranged that, during her Majesty's tour of the Belgian pavilion, no one save those In attendance on her shoaM enter; hut the Queen, having noticed the incident, turned back to speak to the workman. "Madame," said toe latter, "we have worked with all onr hearts in the construction of this building, remembering that it was for your country. Yon wouia give us infinite pleasure if you - wouia accept tlaa humble tootrte of roses from us." "What a pleasant surprise you have given mc, Messieurs," said the Queen, extending her hand, which the workman carried to his lips. The workmen's gratification was increased when they saw that her Majesty declined to nave the 'bouquet carried for her.
