The paper says the war revealed that there is less scope lor banking co-operation between the various component parts of the Empire than between Britain and roreltfiv' S"tate,s.'' • - There "were no- central banks outside Britain, but tblsderect had been remedied in part by the creation or reserve banks in .South Arriba,* India and Australia. It i 3 hoped that' new banks will be established, or that institutions will be evolved, in Canada,. New Zealand and ejsewhere. What the Bank of England has succeeded in effecting in.the Held of central banking, .-Barclay's .Bank is seeking to achieve, in the-realm br commercial banking.
