THE DUNEDIN VISIT.
WEATHER COLD AND WET. DUNEDIN, Friday. Excursions into the country were provided to-day for the naval visitors, trips being made to Palmerston, Waikouaiti and Mlddlemarch. The weather is cold and wet, but the men are making the best of it, and are finding the Dunedin citizens capable of extending a really warm welcome. Dances and private parties were held this evening. DUNEDIN, this day. Two hundred men from the fleet went to Oamaru tO;day. and a similar number to Mosgiel and. Milton. Others attended the New Zealand cross country championship and other sporting fixtures. After a night in which snow and sleet fell, the weather is fine but dull.
