■ » . THE CENTRAL ELECTRIC POWER BOARD. REPORT BY ENGINEER. (By Telegraph—Own CorresDondcnt.) HAMILTON", Wednesday. The Central Electric Power Board met at Hamilton yesterday, the chairman, Mr. T. Hinton. presiding. The advisability of circularising consumers and outlining- tlic advantages of cooking and heating by electricity was left to the secretary and engineer. The question of demonstration was also discussed, and the matter will be further considered at the next meeting of the board. A resolution in favour of including the Whangamerino Riding of the YVaikato County in the Board's power area was carried. The engineer (Mr. J. R. Ellis), who represented the board at the recent conference of power board engineers in Wellington, explained the business that had been transacted, and said a great many very important matters which were of mutual interest to power boards had been discussed. The engineer's .report slated that the Te Hoe 11.000 volt extension had now been completed. There had been a brisk demand for motor installations during Hie month, and consequently all gangs have boon kept busy. Low tension lines have been extended in several districts, while inspection of 11.000 volt linos had shown the lines to be in satisfactory condition, with the exception of faulty insulations.
