COMMERCIAL BANKING CO.

The Commercial Banking Company of Sydney, in its annual report, covering- the period ended June 30, discloses a pront or £480,261, compared with £451,567 Tor the preceding , period. The customary 10 per cent dividend, including the interim distribution, absorbs £349,919, a sum or £130,000 is transferred to reserve fund, and £00,227 is carried rorward, against £89,885 brought into the account.

AUSTRALIAN BANK OF COMMERCE.

The Australian Bank of Commerce, Limited, has increased its distribution Tor the hair-year ended June- 30 to a dividend at the rate or 8 per cent per annum, in place ol" 7 per cent per annum, which has ruled for four years past. The annual report, issued recently, discloses a prollt or £180,765, compared with £143,252 the previous year. Tho dividend at the rate of 7 per cent per annum for the first half of the year, and 8 per cent per annum Tor the second liair-year absorbs £115,000, making , the rate 7* per cent for the year. A sum 0f£50,123 has been transferred to the reserve fund, and a sum of £10,000 has beentransferred in reduction of bank premises account. The balance, £sft4l, added to £4 9,518 brought forward, leaves £54,559 to be carried forward.
