OFFICERS' WIVES IN AUCKLAND.
Mrs. Kobison, wife of the commander-in-chief of the Battle Fleet, is in Auckland, and will remain while the Fleet is here. She is staying at the Grand Hotel, and among others staying there are Mrs. Williams, wife of Lieut.-Colonel Williams, staff marine officer on the staff of the commander-in-chief; Mrs. Thornett, a friend of Mrs. Robison; Mrs. Cogswell, wife of Lieut.-Commander F. W. Cogswell, on the Tennessee; and Airs. Welch, wife of Lieutenant P. P. Welch, on the West Virginia.
