American Fleet Arrives in Auckland. Notable Pictorial Souvenir. A remarkable pictorial record of the American Fleet's arrival in Auckland is a feature of this week's issue of the "New Zealand Sporting and Dramatic Review." A special staff of photographers was engaged to secure exclusive pictures, and it is safe to say that never has a more comprehensive and unique series been obtained than those that take pride of place in this journal. The centre pages comprise separate photographs of giant (battleships, together with a beautiful panoramic view of the fleet just after coming to their anchorage on the Waitemata Harbour. Individual photographs -comprise views of the California and her giant gun turrets, numerous snapshots taken abroad, Admiral Robison, majestic procession of .the warships headed by seaplanes, Auckland en masse to give greeting, and scenes in conection with the civic reception. In .addition to the striking ileet supplement, a wide and varied range of subjects appears. Of interest to our visitors arc the scenes depicting the tragic earthquake at Santa Barbara, U.S.A. A series of graphic snaps covers the Christchurch Hunt Steeplechase gathering, and the Manawatu Hunt Club's meet. The Auckland provincial ladies' golf championship at Titirangi ia prominent with two full pages of leading competitors. Portraits include the American Consul, Mr. W. F. Boyle and Mrs. Boyle, and stage and motion picture favourites. In an attractive miscellany appears lifting the sunken scow Scot with a floating crane, the railway celebrations at Darlington, England, scenes at Henley Regatta, Auckland Trotting Club's new stands and appointments, etc. The "Review" is on sale at all booksellers and stationers. —(Ad.)
