Pegler, of Auckland, who was with the party and stayed' behind with others to enjoy a regular tour of the islands after the party'had-concluded' the'formalities connected with the. trip and disbanded at Suva, states that the island people treated their guests with royal hos|pitality. Among the many entertajnments arranged for them was an excursion to the island of Beqa, and the performance there by fire-walkers.
