BROWN SHIELD MATCH. WELLINGTON V. AUCKLAND. |AT BLANDFORD PARK TO-MOrtROW. The most important match. of the Auckland Soccer season will be played at Blandford Park to-morrow afternoon, when Auckland's claim ot the Brown Shield will be challenged by Wellington, which has sent up for the match a team considered to be the strongest that has j ever left that city. This is certainly the i strongest eifort that will be made this ! season to dispossess Auckland of the trophy, and local enthusiasts are by no means coniident that Auckland will be , able to retain the shield, though satisfied I that the visitors will have to show better j football than they have ever before I done, in order to win the game. It is likely to be the keenest and most strenuous game yet played in Auckland, in connection with the shield. | An excellent curtain-raiser has been I arranged between the Auckland and Wellington Technical Colleges. The Wellington Technical College B team is to play a match against the Mount Albert Grammar School this afternoon, at the Domain. Play will commence at 3.30 o'clock.
