PICTURE POSTERS.
QUESTION OP CENSORSHIP. The matter of a more rigid censorship of cinematograph posters was mentioned again at last night's meeting of the City Council. Recently protest was made to the Council that certain of the posters were indecent, and the Minister of Internal Affairs (the Hon. R. F. Bollard), advised the council in a letter read last evening that it was not practicable with the limited space at the censor's disposal to deal with cinematograph posters. However, it was proposed to erect more suitable premises, and consideration would then be given to amending the law to enable the censorship of posters being carried out. On the motion of Miss Melville it was decided to write asking for further information.
