TERMS FOR THE RIFFS.
"DESTRUCTION OF KRIM." (Received 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, August 5. According to "Le Matin," the FrancoSpanish peace terms provide that Abd-el-ELrim shall recognise the sovereignty of the Sultan of Morocco, and France and Spain recognise the administrative autonomy of the Riffs. The Powers will maintain the police force in the Riff enlarged zones. Ceuta and Melilla will belong to Spain. The League of Nations will control the new boundaries. The newspapers learn from Madrid that if Abd-el-Krim has not replied by August 15, Spanish troops will begin an offensive, preceded by landings on the coast. The "Eclair" says France will meanwhile strive by all means to effect the final destruction of Abd-el-Krim.— (A. and N.Z ; Cable.)
