That prisoner had done a very foolish thing in signing a declaration* was the comment of Mr. Justice "Herdman in the Supreme Court, in passing sentence on Henry Albert Print on making a fraudulent ~ statement under : the Post and Telegraph Act.: Mr. -Singer stated that, _whe.ii. prisoner, had learned that, postal .officials were. suspicion, he made a clean breast of the whole affair. He was a, man who suffered from severe war wounds and found it hard to make a" living. The judge said that the police reported favourably upon Print, and leniency had been recommended, A fine of £10 would be imposed, in.fdefault one month.
