PUKEKOHE DAIRY MEETING.
(To the Editor.)
. Sir. — The report of the meeting held in Pukekohe on Friday night to inquire into allegations against the management of the New Zealand Cooperative Dairy Co, I consider would create ..quite a wrong impression. The parties responsible for the meeting took no precautions whatever to see that none but New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company's shareholders and suppliers were admitted. As a consequence, the usual noisy element out for~an evening's entertainment, congregated ia the back of the hall, and that is wheremost of the disturbance came from. The statement that the chairman waa counted out during Mr. Hane's address, is quite incorrect. That incident occurred while Mr. Dynes Fulton was addressing the meeting. Mr. Fulton received a splendid hearing throughout his address and was proceeding to give; the real reasons as to why the allegations had been made, when the chairman, at the instigation of Mr. "Wynyard, attempted to prevent him proceeding, onthe ground that his remarks were irrelevant. Then it was that the meeting strongly resented the very unfair action of the chairman, by counting hi_, out, and calling, "Sit down", we want Dynes." Up to this point it was very noticeable that whenever one of the' promoters of the meeting was speaking/ he was accorded an attentive hearing, but whenever a question was asked or a resolution moved that might embarrass them, the chairman never seemed to hear. But the meeting wanted to hear Mr. Fulton arid they did hear him. It was Messrs. Wynyard and Dean, who, towards the end of the meeting, were refused a '■' hearing, The : meeting was a complete vindication of the company, and a personal triumph fbr Mr. Dynes Fulam, etc., :j.
A. GUMMER, Pokeno Valley."
