■ ■ LABOUR DAY TOURNAMENT. The Carlton Bowling Club's bis Ijibonr Pay Tournament will be conducted this year as usual. Three full size greens are available and entries will be received from town and country clubs affiliated to the centre. Entries are being received by the secretary, Mr. W. E. Arey, Shortland Stand a number of teams have already entered. OTAHUHU CLUB. The annual social in connection with the Otahuhu Bowling . Club took place last evening, when the prizes won during th< year were presented." - The social took the form of a euchre and dance, and the evenl was- one of the most successful yet held there being a crowded attendance. The club prize-winners were :— Club championship. J. Gardiner; Easter tournament, J. Gardiner and W. West; champion pairs, S. E. Harper and R. CampbeU . handicap pairs, J. Turner . and A. Tomes-: handicap singles, H. W. Thorpe; percentage fours. R. B. Todd, S. E. Harper. J. Ogilvte and K. Lippiatt; Wednes day players, J. W. Whyte and C. B. Whitmore : Good Friday, H. Tucker and W Ferguson;" first year championship. J. H Turner; anniversary championship. Mr. Downing; grades tournament, Gillies and Bailey: Labour Day, R. .Campbell.. J. Higgs .T. Connor, K. Lippiatt: Christmas Day drawing S. E. Harper, trailing W. Ferguson driving G. Nixon, guarding S. E. Harper, aggregate S. E. Harper; New Tear, G. E Whltmore and K. Lippiatt; January 2, G Nixon and K. Lippiatt. ■ There "were 120 euchre players, the successful ones being:—Ladies: First, Mrs. McEarlane; second, ..Mrs. Bailey; third, Mrs. French. Gents: First, Mr. J. Peter son;- seeo#d. Mr. Gardiner; third, Mr Campbell. Excellent music was supplied by Miss West's, orchestra, extras being played by Metdsmes Gillies and Jameson. The duties of M.C.'S were carried' out by Messrs Best, Gillies and Pearce. During the internal after the presentation of prizes, the president, Mr. A. Mur dock.' acknowledged the services rendered to the club. by ; Messrs. W. Best and X Lippiatt. '
