Mr. J. Coverdale, Te Kawa. is-staying at Cargen. Mr. Clinton Williams returned to Auckland by last night's express, after a two months' tour of the Dominion. Mr. Basil Herbert Humphrey has been appointed Deputy Registrar of Marriages, Births and Deaths at Ellerslie.' Mr. J. H. Banks, superintendent of the Waihi G.M. Company's Victoria battery at Waikino, accompanied by Mrs. Banks, will leave Auckland by the Niagara for Honolulu on two months' holiday leave. Staying at the Star Hotel are Messrs. T. W. Murray, of Hamilton, H. Hull, of Te Kuiti, M. C. Marsack, of Taumarunui, D. A. Patterson, of Oamaru, and A. A. N. McLean of Sydney. The Prime Minister, the Hon. J. G. Coates, arrived this morning. This afternoon he laid the foundation of the War Memorial Museum in tlie Domain. • He will return to Wellington to-morrow evening. The, Premier is accompanied by his private secretary, Mr. F. D. Thomson.
