ROYAL NAVY.
H.M.S. DIOMEDE,
TO BRING N.Z. COMPLEMENT,
LONDON,- July 31
Tlie British light cruiser Diomede is returning from China to refit and take over a New Zealand complement. She will sail for the Dominion in October.
British people do not "desire to comment- on the Dominion's contributions to the Navy. If New Zealand offers further help it will be gladly welcomed to relieve Britain's burdens.
The New Zealand Press comments on the subject show an admirable spirit, which is heartily appreciated.—("Sun.")
