PEDIGREE JERSEY SALE.
A successful sale of pedigree and grade Jerseys, on account or Mr. C. A. Care, Cambridge, was held by the Farmers' Cooperative Auctioneering , Co., Ltd., on "Wednesday, July 29. There was a very large attendance, and satisfactory prices were obtained. The highest price was 90 guineas, paid by Mr. A. E. Watkins, or Takanini, Tor the rour-ycar-old cow Monandrla (Monarcnist — . Oakden Rosette). The same buyer also purchased other cows at 53gs, 80gs, 40gs, 80gs -respectively. Other purchasers or cows were: J. Ambiu-y (Auckland) 45gs, R. K. Garland (Okaula) 27gs, M. Daley (Paeroa) 13gs, 20gs, H. A. Nicoll (Cambridge) 15gs, A. G. Clow (Roto-o-rangi) C2gs, F. S. Veale (Cambridge) 27gs, W. •Garland (Cambridge) 18gs, 24gs, A. O. McCaw (Cambridge) 2ig-s, .P. Colvin (Cambridge) -Ugs, D. Burke (Cambridge) ■33gs. The average price .ror the pedigree • cows was 41 }£S. Pedigree bulls were purchased as- follows: F. Rose (TiraU) logs, 20gs, and 7gs; W. • Wainwrtght (Matangi) 18gs. Grade cows sold Trom 10 to 27g-s, the averase ror the nine being lSga.
