BY-LAW BREACHES.
A CONSTABLE PROSECUTED.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Friday.
Constable Waring, who was respon■ible for William H. Hill, a newspaper runner, being convicted for three breaches of the city by-laws, was himself proceeded against by Hill to-day for breaches involving a motor vehicle. Hill laid informations against the constable for having left a motor-bicycle and side-chair outside his house unattended, and also with having left it by night without lights showing. The latter information was withdrawn, the by-law not having been proved by informant's counsel, a fact which was pointed out after Hill's case had been closed. On the other charge the constable was convicted without penalty.
