AUCKLAND GUN CLUB.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS.
The annual meeting Of the Auckland Gun Club was held last evening In tbe rooms of the Otahuhu Trotting Club, Mr. J. Williamson occupying the chair. The chairman, In opening the meeting, mentioned the loss the clnb has Suffered through the death of their late president, Mr. A. R. Seccombe, and also Mr. A. J. McFlynn. Votes of condolence were passed to the widows, the members standing.
Several suggestions were put forward by the Incoming committee to popularise the sport, one suggestion being that the club should hold week-end shooting and fishing trips combined. Mr. J. Williamson was elected a life member of tbe club, and tbe report and balance-Sheet, which Showed the club to be In a sound financial position, were adopted as read. ■
Officers for the Coming year were elected as follows: —President, Mr. F. Seccombe; vice-presidents, Messrs. C. Drysdale, T. Gill, R. Montgomery, 3. Williamson, and A. Murphy; management committee, C. Drysdale, R. Montgomery, H. Sullivan, O. Westbury, H. Morton, A. Hodgson, F. Curtis, and A. Murphy; hon. secretary, Mr. T. Watts; treasurer, Mr. J. Williamson; auditor, Mr. J. McCnllOiigh.
